Essent Group has hired a new special advisor to provide Mark Casale, its chairman and chief executive officer, with a new perspective on housing finance, and bring additional private and public sector experience to the business.

Before that he served as senior advisor to The Honorable Benjamin Carson Sr, the 17th Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Casale said: “Adolfo played an instrumental role in Essent’s founding, and his deep knowledge across housing and mortgage finance will be valuable as we continue to expand and further strengthen our franchise.”
