Davies expands its US presence with SKWeston acquisition

Davies, the professional services and technology business serving insurance and highly regulated markets, has acquired SKWeston & Company (SKW), the contact centre consultancy and professional services firm.

SKW will be rebranded to Davies and will form part of Davies’ existing consulting and technology business, led by chief executive officer (CEO) Mark Grocott. Steve Weston, SKW’s managing partner, and his management team, continue to lead its day to day operations. The wider team continue in their previous roles as part of Davies.

Maryland-based SKW specialises in customer experience, technology implementation, managed services and outsourcing strategies for insurance, financial services and other highly regulated markets.

The deal expands Davies’ capabilities in this area in the US market. It has sought to diversify and deepen its consulting and technology capability to provide customer experience, resourcing and learning solutions, as well as data and speech analytics, robotic process automation, legacy platform modernisation and product development for its clients.

Dan Saulter, group CEO at Davies, said: “The insurance market is undergoing significant transformation, with businesses seeking to harness the power of automation and digital capabilities to create competitive edge, to streamline their delivery and service, and to manage operating costs. It’s important now more than ever that insurance businesses can differentiate their offering and retain customers through their service delivery and contact centre interactions with their policyholders and other stakeholders.”

Weston said: “Our business is perfectly positioned to support Davies’ wider client base of innovative businesses on their quest to accelerate their change and transformation and be disruptive in the market.”
