David Corry joins Argo Environmental as head of environmental

Argo Environmental, a member of Argo Group International Holdings that underwrites specialty re/insurance has named David Corry as senior vice president and head of environmental, based in Chicago.

Corry joins from Markel where he was senior director of environmental and energy insurance. He started his career at Crum & Forster where he spent a decade as a casualty underwriting manager, before spending nearly 20 years at Chubb as an assistant vice president. He is also a veteran of the US armed forces.

Corry reports to Marsh Duncan, senior vice president of US operations, who oversees Argo Group’s environmental, inland marine and contract property and casualty lines of business.

Duncan said: “With 35 years of underwriting experience, [Corry] brings to the team deep technical expertise and a strong background in casualty and complex environmental underwriting.”
