AXA XL appoints senior underwriter in political risk, credit and bond team

AXA XL has appointed Edward Moeller as senior underwriter in its political risk, credit and bond (PRCB) team.

Moeller is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and brokers and growing new business opportunities in targeted segments.

He brings more than 13 years of industry experience, focusing on political risk and trade credit, plus a decade of service in the public sector working for the Export Import Bank of the United States and the Department of Labor. He joins from the Farm Credit Administration where he was a credit specialist in the capital markets and assets, office of examination, banking division. He has also served as senior underwriter and credit lead in the credit and political risk team at Zurich Insurance Group.

Based in Washington DC, Moeller reports to Richard Abizaid, head of the Americas and regional product leader for PRCB, who said Moeller’s extensive experience will bolster AXA XL’s underwriting capabilities and contribute to its strategic growth objectives in the political risk space.
