AXA XL appoints new Americas cyber claims lead

Bermuda-domiciled AXA XL has appointed Danielle Roth as practice leader and head of cyber claims for North America. Based in Stamford, Connecticut, she will be responsible for developing and implementing the claims strategy and best practices, including coverages analysis, claims investigations, reserving and resolution of claims, service standards and state regulations.

In the role, she’ll manage AXA XL’s cyber claims professionals in the US, Canada and Bermuda, and also oversee a newly created Cyber Incident Response team, to be led by claims manager Gwenn Cujdik.

“Launching a dedicated Cyber Incident Response team further demonstrates our commitment to our clients to help them before, during and after a cyber incident,” said Roth. “Gwenn brings a wealth of knowledge to this new team from her unique experiences as an attorney specialising in investigation, crisis management and litigation related to data privacy, cybersecurity and regulation.”

The appointment is a promotion for Roth, who was claims manager for cyber, technology and media. She was previously team leader for cyber at XL Catlin, and before that, spent four years with Liberty International Underwriters. Cujdik joins from Mullen Coughlin LLC, where she most recently served as a Partner focusing on data privacy and cybersecurity event responses.
