Athene appoints former Pittsburgh Steeler to its board

Athene Holding has appointed Lynn Swann as an independent member of its board of directors.

Athene’s board now comprises 16 members, of which nine are independent.

Swann is president of the marketing and consulting firm Swann which he founded in 1976. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Evoqua Water Technologies and American Homes 4 Rent, and has previously served on a number of publicly-traded, privately-held, and non-profit entity boards.

He served as the Athletic Director of the University of Southern California (USC) from 2016 to 2019, where he was responsible for overall administration of 21 division one athletic programs. He was also a host, reporter and analyst for the American Broadcast Company for nearly 30 years and played nine seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
