Aspen adds two women to its UK board

Aspen Insurance Holdings has appointed Theresa Froehlich as chair of Aspen Insurance UK (AIUK), and as a non-executive director of AIUK and Aspen Managing Agency (AMA), and Natalie Waller as a non executive director of AIUK and AMA.

Froehlich held senior executive roles at Lloyd’s of London from 2010 to 2016, including interim director of performance management, where she was responsible for all commercial aspects of oversight of the market and setting underwriting standards. She also served as head of underwriting performance.

Before joining Aspen she held roles at Swiss Re, including head of transactions UK, and Admin Re, where she was head of strategic initiatives.

Natalie Waller served as head of State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) global equity solutions business in London until March 2019, responsible for a team of 11 portfolio managers and more than £100 billion worth of assets under management. She is also a former fund manager Gartmore, and worked at Nomura, an investment bank.

Mark Cloutier, executive chairman and group CEO, welcomed teh hires, adding: ”Their excellent understanding of the financial services and insurance sectors, across a range of senior roles and disciplines, will add further strength to the experience we have on our UK boards.”

The appointments are subject to regulatory approval.
