Argo names new president for its US professional lines business

Argo Group International Holdings has promoted a new president of Argo Pro, its US professional lines platform.

Mary Henderson steps up to the role of president of Argo Pro. She has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and was previously head of financial institutions at Argo Pro. She reports to Gary Grose, executive vice president of Argo Group US operations.

Henderson joined Argo from Travelers Companies, where she spent 14 years serving in several roles, including regional vice president. Before Travelers she was assistant vice president, financial and professional insurance broker, at Marsh & McLennan Companies.

Meanwhile Rich Fachet has been promoted to senior vice president and head of financial institutions, replacing Henderson. He joined Argo in 2018 as vice president of financial institutions, and also joined Argo from Travelers where he spent 17 years, beginning as an underwriter and rising to serve as vice president of asset management professional liability.

Grose said: “Mary has a tremendous track record leading Argo Pro’s financial institutions team. She has an exceptional background and is well regarded within the business.”
