Aon hires new head of complex client strategy to bring new perspective and expand product offering

Aon Resinruance Solutions has named a new leader of complex client strategy.

Frederick Streeton joins from Liberty Mutual Group, where over the past nine years he held the positions of chief underwriting officer of the global reinsurance strategy group (GRSG), and then head of underwriting strategy for global risk solutions.

He started his career in 1987 at broker Thomas R Miller before spending ten years broking with Greig Fester and through its merger with Benfield and then Aon.

He will join up with Aon in London in September and will report to Don Magee, UK chairman of reinsurance solutions.

Nick Frankland, UK chief executive officer of reinsurance solutions, said: “Fred’s insights into a major client’s handling of gross to net risk and his role in optimising that relationship through reinsurance, combined with his previous broking experience, will bring what we believe is an invaluable perspective and new range to our large client proposition. His knowledge of all classes, especially non-marine property and composite marine, both treaty and facultative, will mean that his impact will help us to be better equipped to improve our service to our client portfolio.”

Frankland added: “This is a critical role for driving our long-term growth ambitions and desire to expand our product offering.”

Meanwhile, Aon’s Ben Love was named strategic growth leader for the UK platform, responsible for building and converting the new business pipeline and developing and implementing the growth plans across all classes for the region.
