Sirius finance committee chair steps down

Raymond Tan, chair of the finance committee at Sirius International Insurance Group, has resigned from the board of directors.

Sabrina Maguire has been appointed to the board and replaces Tan as chair of the finance committee, following a recommendation from Tan and the board’s nominating and corporate governance committee.

Maguire is head of legal at Sun Hung Kai & Co, a minority shareholder of CMIG International Holding. Tan was CMIG International’s representative director on the Sirius board.

Maguire will not receive remuneration from the company for her services as a director.

Meanwhile, Sirius’ compensation committee has granted a cash retention award of over $3 million to Sirius' president and chief executive officer. This payment will be made in equal proportions on or prior to March 15, 2020 and on or prior to March 15, 2021, subject to continued employment on the applicable vesting date.
