Lombard International rebrands as Axcelus Financial

Lombard International, which was recently taken over by BroadRiver Asset Management,  has rebranded as Axcelus Financial. 

The Bermuda-based provider of private placement life insurance and annuities said it aims to continue to be leader in the private placement space and a thought leader. 

“As the company embarks on a new chapter as Axcelus Financial, it will continue to be a leader in the private placement space and build upon its legacy of providing innovative and customised insurance-based solutions to its individual and institutional clients,” the company, which has $13 billion in assets under management, said. 

“Leveraging three decades of experience and trusted leadership in the industry, Axcelus Financial remains dedicated to understanding and delivering solutions to meet the unique needs and challenges of its clients.”

Michael Farrell (pictured), the newly appointed CEO of the company, said: “Axcelus Financial will be a thought leader and go-to partner for the insurance industry. We will accelerate our investment in innovative programs and leverage our 30 years of experience and excellent service to meet client expectations.“

Axcelus, which has offices in New York, Philadelphia, Miami and Bermuda, said it plans to strengthen its commitment to flexible and collaborative partnerships with insurance and asset management professionals, expand its product and service features, and invest in its employees, technology, and operations.

It said of the rebrand: “The name Axcelus conveys a sense of momentum, ambition and quality, with connotations of acceleration and excellence through the word itself.

“Visually, the deep navy of the logo and brand reflects trust and security; this is how we want all of our clients, partners and stakeholders to feel about working with Axcelus and is evidenced by our proven industry experience and expertise. 

“The logo mark, extending the upward trajectory of the X in Axcelus, creates a sense of forward movement and aspiration – a sophisticated visual expression of our commitment to create long-term future value through our financial solutions.”
