AXIS takes environmental liability to Canada
AXIS Capital Holdings is expanding its environmental impairment liability segment into Canada with the appointment of an underwriter in its Toronto office.
Ludwig Nagata has joined Bermuda-based AXIS as assistant vice president, environmental, Canada and he will provide EIL coverages, specifically targeting contractors’ pollution liability, pollution legal liability, and follow-form environmental business starting this month.
Nagata brings 20 years of environmental underwriting and business leadership experience to AXIS. For the past 12 years, he led an environmental underwriting team at Liberty Mutual. Nagata reports to Andrew Johnson, Chief Underwriting Officer for Casualty and Programs in Canada.
