Hancock takes up CEO position at AIG

Peter Hancock has taken up the role of president and chief executive officer (CEO) of American International Group (AIG). He succeeds Robert Benmosche.

Hancock has also joined the board of directors in accordance with the company’s succession plan, announced on June 10, 2014.

He joined AIG in 2010 and was named CEO of AIG property casualty in March 2011, when the division was reorganised into two major global groups: commercial and consumer. He had previously served as executive vice president of finance, risk, and investments at AIG.
