Aspen secures EVP from XL

Aspen US Insurance, part of the insurance segment of Aspen Insurance, has appointed Roxanne Mitchell as executive vice president and chief casualty officer.

Mitchell has a 35-year industry career, with nearly 20 years at Lexington and most recently serving as the president of excess and surplus lines at XL.

She will report to Bob Rheel, EVP and head of US property casualty.

Roxanne's appointment, together with the addition of a number of new underwriters and promotions within the team, strengthens Aspen Insurance's presence in the US casualty market.

Rheel comments "The specialty casualty market in the US is complex and requires deep expertise and creative solutions. Roxanne's extensive knowledge of the segment, coupled with the expertise inherent within our casualty team, means that we are strongly placed to understand and support the unique specialty needs of our clients."
