Arch Re appoints two MDs to US underwriting team

Arch Reinsurance Company has hired John Willemsen and Bill Hopkins to join its underwriting team in Morristown, New Jersey, as managing directors.  Willemsen joins the reinsurer from Munich Re where most recently he served as head of the development of the programmes business. He will help develop and expand Arch Re’s programmes business. Hopkins will help to strengthen the professional lines unit. Prior to joining Arch Re, Hopkins was head of the financial lines portfolio at AIG cat excess.
