Arch Insurance Group appoints SVP for P&C programmes

US-based Arch Insurance Group, a member of Bermuda-based re/insurance provider Arch Capital Group, has appointed Mark Lange as senior vice president of property and casualty (P&C) programmes.

Lange will be responsible for managing and growing the P&C programmes business and expanding Arch Insurance Group’s capabilities in the middle market and small commercial areas.

He joins Arch from Dowling Capital Partners where he managed private equity portfolio investments and served as a board member for several agents and managing general agents (MGAs). Prior to this, he held executive positions at The Hartford, including responsibility for the financial results of the small commercial division.

Brian First, executive vice president for Arch’s P&C programmes and alternative markets, said: “Mr. Lange is uniquely well-suited for this position given his diverse and deep knowledge of P&C business management and distribution.”
