ACE appoints Kopp as COO for Korea

Bermuda re/insurer, ACE has appointed Edward Kopp as its deputy president and chief operating officer for Korea.

Kopp has 20 years experience in the financial services industry, including roles working as chief operating officer in Korea and a role as CEO in Hong Kong. Rob Wilkinson, country president or ACE Insurance, Korea commented upon Kopp’s appointment saying: “I’m delighted to welcome a professional of Edward’s calibre to our management team. His hands-on operational experience and business acumen will be instrumental as we make progress to diversify and grow our channels and products in Korea.”

ACE has operated in Korea since 1968, with the company carving out a niche for itself “as one of the leading direct marketing providers of accident & health insurance”. Customers are able to draw upon the re/insurers impressive depth of expertise and the appointment of Kopp appears to be a further step by the company to develop its Korean operations.
