SiriusPoint Bermuda promotes new CFO

SiriusPoint has named a new chief financial officer (CFO) in Bermuda.

Jennifer Collier-Souza becomes CFO of SiriusPoint Bermuda Insurance Company where she works with the global CFO, David Junius, to support the global organisation, including the global property and global specialty underwriting divisions. She will also manage the Bermuda finance group, which is responsible for supporting the company’s Bermuda reinsurance team, along with accounting, operations, reporting and treasury functions.

Collier-Souza joined Third Point Re as senior financial accountant and has been with the company for eight years. She was most recently vice president of operations and reinsurance controller. She previously worked for Arch Re and RenaissanceRe in accounting roles, beginning her career at XL in 2002 as insurance accounting assistant.

Junius said: “As we continue our work to build a best-in-class platform for SiriusPoint’s global business, it is essential that we have top tier talent in place to best serve our internal and external stakeholders and investors. Jenn brings an impressive combination of financial experience and reinsurance knowledge to the role and has already proven herself to be a cornerstone of the SiriusPoint team.”

Nick Campbell, chief executive officer of SiriusPoint Bermuda, added: “I have worked with Jenn since 2013 and it is a testament to her performance and ambition that she has been promoted to this leadership role. Jenn has been an integral member of the SiriusPoint Global Finance and Bermuda teams during the formation of SiriusPoint, and David and I are thrilled to promote outstanding internal talent to this key regional role.”
