MS Amlin poaches head of aviation reinsurance from Chubb

MS Amlin Underwriting (MS AUL), the Lloyd’s global specialty re/insurer, has hired a new head of aviation reinsurance.

Richard Bayman will take up the role in the third quarter of 2021, subject to regulatory approval. He has more than twenty years of experience in the aviation re/insurance market, having most recently served as head of aerospace at Chubb, with responsibility for strategic planning and underwriting performance.

Bayman will report to Matthew Wilken, MS AUL’s head of reinsurance, who highlighted Bayman’s track record of growing books of business, deep industry experience and expertise, and strong network of broker relationships.

“His appointment is also testament to our commitment to continue to strengthen the bench of our underwriting team and senior leadership while we successfully grow our business,” added Wilken.
