Miller snares former Aon executive to lead Bermuda business

Miller has appointed Charlie Simpson as head of Bermuda.

Simpson is responsible for growing Miller’s presence in Bermuda by launching a high-quality independent offering, initially focused on reinsurance and insurance-linked securities.

Simpson has over 40 years’ experience in the sector and joins from Aon where he was most recently executive vice president of non-marine. He has also held senior positions at Guy Carpenter, R K Carvill, JLT and BMS Reinsurance.

Miller promised it would be announcing more key hires soon.

Simpson said: “The opportunity to develop Miller’s strategy in Bermuda is a unique and exciting challenge and I look forward to reconnecting with my contacts on the island and fostering new relationships as we expand our platform”.
