Acrisure Re expands advisory unit to US

Acrisure Re, the re/insurance division of fintech Acrisure, has announced the expansion of its corporate advisory and solutions division (ARCAS) into North America with the appointment of Alex Orloff as managing director, ARCAS North America. Orloff will be based in New York and report to Ben Canagaretna, ARCAS managing director.

In his new role, Orloff will lead the North American arm of ARCAS, working to build out and manage a team overseeing strategic and ratings advisory, capital raising, legacy transactions and asset management. He will also work closely with ARCAS colleagues in London as well as Acrisure Re colleagues on a variety of mandates and strategic initiatives.

Orloff has over 25 years of experience across the buy-side, the sell-side, investment banking and rating agencies. He joins ARCAS from BMS, where he was director of capital markets analytics for three years. Prior to this, he founded research company Sybella Research, which provided investment research services to private issuers and investors in the US insurance industry. Before that, Orloff held senior positions at Twelve Capital, Credit Suisse, and Lazard Asset Management.

Acrisure Re operates in Bermuda, Florida, Hong Kong, London, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Seattle, Toronto and Zurich.
