XL Group completes move to Bermuda

XL Group, a global re/insurance company and a subsidiary of XL Catlin, has formally announced that it has changed its place of incorporation from Ireland to Bermuda.

The new name of the holding company is XL Group Ltd and is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission under the Securities Exchange Act 1934, as amended.

Shareholders had previously approved the other proposals needed for the change of incorporation to proceed.

XL Group Ltd’s shares will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol ‘XL’ and it is expected to be included in the S&P 500 Index.

It remains subject to receipt of necessary regulatory approvals, satisfaction of other conditions and sanctioning by the High Court of Ireland.
