XL GAPS appoints property loss engineer for Brazil

XL Group's Global Asset Protection Services (XL GAPS) has appointed André Stankunavicius as field engineer for its property loss prevention services business in Brazil.

XL says the appointment will contribute to the ongoing establishment of a stronger risk analysis culture in Brazil, following up on the firm’s commitment to deliver the highest level of service to its clients.

The XL GAPS team includes 150 risk engineers based in more than 20 countries in Europe, North and South America and Asia Pacific, providing customized risk assessment and prevention services as well as training to commercial and industrial businesses across the world.

Stankunavicius is based in Sao Paulo and reports to Martha Bennett, vice president, regional field leader NAPC XL GAPS.

Bennett comments: “I’m delighted about André joining us to serve our clients in Brazil. His experience, know-how and service will bring great value to their business. Our field engineers play a crucial role in helping our clients better understand their risk exposures as the basis for effective risk management. This is especially important in an emerging market like Brazil where the affinity towards risk is still evolving.”

Stankunavicius brings 7 years of experience in loss prevention and risk engineering and extensive knowledge in the automotive industry, including parts suppliers. Before joining XL GAPS, he worked for Aon Holdings Corretores de Seguros, Allianz Seguros, FM Global and Unibanco AIG Seguros & Previdência.

Bennett adds: “In an integrated approach our risk engineering consultants have client industry and process expertise armed with state-of-the-art technology to determine risk exposures. Like all our field engineers, André will also help other XL Group teams underwrite some of the most complex global property risks."
