Montpelier Re’s Pollett departs following merger

William Pollett, the treasurer of Montpelier Re and chief executive officer (CEO) of Blue Capital, has stepped down.

The move follows Montpelier Re’s merger with fellow Bermudian Endurance Specialty.

Pollett has served at Montpelier Re since 2006, and previously held the roles of chief corporate development and strategy officer, treasurer and senior vice president.

Adam Szakmary succeeds him as CEO and portfolio manager of the investment manager. Szakmary has been portfolio manager at the company since it launched in November 2012.
