Everest Re teams up with AEGIS

Bermuda-based holding company Everest Re Group has formed a strategic alliance between its US primary specialty insurer, Everest National Insurance Company, and Associated Electric & Gas Insurance Services (AEGIS).

The partnership will provide primary admitted coverages to AEGIS members, and non-member energy companies, in the utility and related energy industry. This includes those involved with exploration and production.

Everest National will provide a full admitted product set to these clients, including offerings for primary and excess workers’ compensation coverage, general liability, and automobile coverage, written on either a guaranteed cost or loss sensitive basis, subject to underwriting guidelines.

The new AEGIS-Everest alliance is effective from January 1, 2016.

“We are proud to partner with AEGIS to offer leading products and services to their member and non-member clients,” said Jonathan Zaffino, president of Everest National Insurance Company.

“We are excited to begin this new venture and support its success with our vast reach of admitted product capability and risk transfer solutions, leading claims services and the strength of our balance sheet. We look forward to a long-term and beneficial relationship with AEGIS and their member and non-member clients alike.”
