Everest adds two new hires to US insurance casualty operation

Everest Re has hired two executives for its casualty operation.

Connie Germano, who will be based in New York, will lead the firm’s US specialty casualty operation and will help increase growth of Everest National’s primary casualty, umbrella and excess, and environmental units.

Germano joins from ACE, where she managed a regional casualty team in Zurich, Switzerland, covering a range of products and industry groups.

Tom Morelli also joins Everest as leader of the energy casualty group, a new programme for Everest. He will be working from the firm’s New Jersey office andjoins the firm from specialty managing general agent Global Special Risks.
