Bermuda makes its presence felt at RIMS

A number of senior Bermuda government officials and executives from Bermuda-based reinsurers have been making their presence felt at the annual RIMS conference, taking place in San Diego this week.

Premier Michael Dunkley, Finance Minister ET (Bob) Richards, Economic Development Minister Dr. Grant Gibbons and a number of officials from the BDA and Bermuda Monetary Authority have been in attendance.

The Bermuda Booth opened in the exhibition hall on Monday and on Tuesday, Premier Dunkley met RIMS president Julie Pemberton and RIMS chief executive officer Mary Roth before touring industry booths at the Exhibition Hall. The BDA also hosted its annual networking reception, an invitation-only event, for key industry representatives and other executives.

Representatives from numerous Bermuda-based companies are attending RIMS, including: Aon, Appleby, Arch Insurance Group, Artex, Arthur J. Gallagher, Aspen Insurance, AXIS Insurance, Beecher Carlson, Bermuda Commercial Bank, Butterfield Bank, Canopius Underwriting Bermuda, Chubb, Clarien Bank, Conyers, Endurance, EY, HSBC, JLT, KPMG, Markel Bermuda, Marsh Inc, PwC, R&Q Quest Management Services, Willis Towers Watson, XL Catlin, and Zurich.
