BDA adds two SVPs to its board

The Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA) has appointed two new directors to its board.

The BDA has added Andrea Jackson, senior vice president (SVP) and trust relationship manager at Lombard Odier Trust (Bermuda) and Stephen Weinstein, SVP and group general counsel at RenaissanceRe Holdings to its board.

Jackson has been involved with the BDA since 2013 as a member and leader of the agency’s trust and private-client working group.

During that time, she has been closely connected to law reform initiatives and assisted with bringing the Transcontinental Trusts International Forum to Bermuda in 2015; the event is now a fixture on the annual industry calendar.

Jackson has worked on the island in the trust industry for over 20 years, and has been with Lombard Odier since 2004.

Weinstein serves as RenaissanceRe’s chief legal officer, with responsibility for legal, regulatory, government affairs and compliance matters.

He is also chair of the RenaissanceRe Risk Sciences Foundation, the company’s charitable vehicle committed to researching and developing risk-mitigation techniques and raising awareness through conferences and outreach events, including the award-winning Risk Mitigation Leadership Forum series.

Weinstein joined RenaissanceRe as general counsel and secretary in 2002 from leading international law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

He has been a member of RenaissanceRe’s executive committee since March 2006. A frequent speaker on legal, regulatory and mitigation-related matters, he serves on the boards of several industry and charitable groups.
