Bermuda-based re/insurer Athene Holding has launched an initial public offering (IPO) of its 23.8 million Class A common shares.
All of the Class A shares on offer in the IPO are being sold by Athene shareholders and the company itself will not receive any proceeds from the IPO.
The IPO price per share is currently expected to be between $38 and $42. The underwriters may also exercise a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 3,562,500 Class A common shares from certain of the Athene selling shareholders at the IPO price, less than the underwriting discount.
Athene has applied to list its Class A common shares on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “ATH”.
The offering will be made only by means of a prospectus.
