AM Best boosts James River Group’s financial ratings

AM Best has changed the financial strength rating of the Bermuda re/insurance subsidiary companies of James River Group (JRG) to A from A-.

AM Best described JRG as having a “strong operating performance and supportive risk-adjusted capitalisation due to its solid business profile and successful execution of its business strategy.”

“We are very pleased to have our consistent underwriting and earnings, strong balance sheet and careful risk management practices recognized by AM Best,” said Adam Abram, chairman and chief executive officer of JRG.

“These are each important parts of the value proposition we offer to our policy holders, agents, cedants, reinsurance partners and investors. I want to congratulate every single one of our 481 employees whose work earned this recognition.”
